So the men Moses sent to scout out the land, and who returned and incited the entire community to complain about him by spreading a negative report about the land—
The men whom Moses sent out to explore the land had returned and caused the entire community to complain against him by starting a rumor about the land.
The men whom Moshe had sent to reconnoiter the land and who, when they returned, made the entire community complain against him by giving an unfavorable report about the land —
Ten of the men sent to explore the land had brought back bad news and had made the people complain against the Lord.
And the men whom Moses had sent to search out the land, who returned, and made the whole assembly to murmur against him, by bringing up an evil report upon the land,
Therefore all the men, whom Moses had sent to view the land, and who at their return had made the whole multitude to murmur against him, speaking ill of the land that it was naught,
The men Moses sent to explore the new land were the ones who came back complaining about him to all the Israelites. They said that the people were not strong enough to enter that land.
The men who had given a bad report to the people about the land of Canaan died immediately. Moses had sent them to explore the land, but they had caused all the people to turn against the Lord. So the Lord sent a bad disease to kill those men.
The men whom Moses had sent to scout the land, who returned and made the entire community grumble against him by giving a negative report about the land—

The men Moses had sent to ·explore [spy on] the land had returned and ·spread complaints [grumbled] among all the ·people [community; congregation; assembly]. They had given a bad report about the land.
And the men which Moses had sent to search the land (which when they came again, made all the people to murmur against him, and brought up a slander upon the land.)
So the men Moses sent to explore the land died in front of the Lord from a plague.
The men Moses had sent to explore the land brought back a false report which caused the people to complain against the Lord. And so the Lord struck them with a disease, and they died.
So the men Moses sent to scout out the land, and who returned and incited the entire community to complain about him by spreading a negative report about the land—
The men Moses had sent to explore the land had returned. They had spread complaints among all the Israelites. They had given a bad report about the land.

Then the ten spies who had incited the rebellion against Jehovah by striking fear into the hearts of the people were struck dead before the Lord. Of all the spies, only Joshua and Caleb remained alive.
So it happened that the men Moses sent to scout out the land returned to circulate false rumors about the land causing the entire community to grumble against Moses—all these men died. Having spread false rumors of the land, they died in a plague, confronted by God. Only Joshua son of Nun and Caleb son of Jephunneh were left alive of the men who went to scout out the land.
The men whom Moses sent to explore the land, who returned and made all the assembly murmur against him by bringing up an evil report about the land,
So the men Moses sent to explore the land died in front of Yahweh from a plague.
And the men whom Moses had sent to reconnoiter the land and who on returning had set the whole community grumbling against him by spreading discouraging reports about the land—

Remember that the men who had been hand-selected by Moses to scout out the promised land delivered a less-than-positive report. Consequently, in the assenting presence of the Eternal, they were all killed by a plague.

Therefore all the men which Moses had sent to see the land, and which turned again, and made all the multitude to grouch against him, and depraved the land, (And so all the men whom Moses had sent to look over the land, and returned, and then had made all the multitude to grumble against him, and to despise the land,)
